and Cathy now includes their son,
Buck, and his wife, Kelsey —

legacy. With both indoor and
outdoor training spaces, every
dog is trained in real-world
settings and cared for like one of

Gun Dog Training
Randy’s passion for retriever training began in 1984 with his very first dog, Caleb. What started as one dog quickly grew into a lifelong commitment to developing high-quality gun dogs that work in true partnership with their handlers in the field. With decades of hands-on experience, Randy is known for producing reliable, driven, and steady working dogs. Today, he focuses exclusively on our Gun Dog Training and Raise-A-Pup Programs, ensuring each dog receives the highest level of foundation and field development.

Labrador Pups & Raise A Pup
Cathy has been a cornerstone of our operation since the early years—hands-on from the very beginning, whether whelping puppies or throwing bumpers as far back as 1992. In 1995, she developed our kennel obedience training programs, shaping the structure that still guides that training program today. Her dedication, intuition with dogs, and attention to detail helped build the reputation we proudly stand on.
Zailee Edwards
Zailee joined the Beaver Creek family in an un-
expected way. She was our favorite waitress at a
local restaurant, and when she asked if we were
hiring, we liked her work ethic so much that we
created a position just for her! Since then, her
dedication, consistency, and positive attitude
have made her an invaluable part of our team.
As Kelsey’s assistant, she helps keep each day
running smoothly and plays an important role
in caring for our dogs and supporting our train-
ing programs.

North Facility Owner & Training Specialist
In 2019, Kelsey officially joined the family by marriage and entered the business while Cathy was recovering from knee replacement surgery. Since then, she has led the development of our new North facility and now focuses primarily on family companion obedience along with limited gun dog work. With a strong emphasis on clear communication, real-life reliability, and owner education, Kelsey continues to expand the next generation of our training programs.
